Yay!!!

We raised over $170.00 for the Rec Program selling sweets at the 65 mile yard sale. Thanks to all who supported us in this fundraiser!!!!

Fundraiser

Our first big fundraiser is tomorrow at the 65 mile yard sale in Edison. We will be set up near Willowood selling sweets and cakes. Please try to stop by. We are moving forward with our plans and are excited.

Moving forward, just slowly

Board members have been doing research and meeting with city councils to let them know what is going on with the Rec program. Just wanted to give an update.

First Founding Board meeting

The Founding Board will be meeting to begin implementation of the program on August 13th at 6:30 pm. The first meeting will be held at 17949 College Street, Edison.

Each member will serve as the Chairperson for a committee. These members will be confirmed at the Board meeting with the date to be announced.

Meetings

We had great response from our meetings in Arlington, Edison and Leary. We are excited about moving forward. We plan to select a founding board this week and begin forward progress. Thanks for attending!

Welcome

The purpose of the Calhoun County Recreation Program is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens; to promote the educational, vocational, social, and character development of girls and boys; to help youth improve their lives, the organization offers programs that build self-esteem and develop values and skills during the critical period of growth.

We have scheduled meetings on Tuesday, June 30th at 6:30 pm in Arlington at the gym and a meeting on Thursday, July 2nd in Edison at the Lion's Club, then the last meeting before selecting a founding board will be Friday, July 3rd at 6:30 pm in Leary at City Hall.
